Forest Park Equestrian Center is one of the finest horse boarding and training facilities in the Pacific Northwest. It is owned and managed by Shannon Morris, who has over thirty years horse management and riding experience.  Shannon earned an H-A rating in the United States Pony Club, giving her the highest level horse management rating possible. She takes pride in the fact that her facility is not only beautiful, safe and inviting, it is managed in a way that optimizes the horses’ health and well-being.

Forest Park Equestrian Center offers full-care boarding, horse training and riding lessons in the sports of Dressage and Eventing. It is a private facility and visitors are welcome by appointment. Please call if you would like to view the equestrian center.

Our Services

BOARDING
$600 per month – Full care boarding only is available.  This includes feeding twice daily, daily stall cleaning and turnout.  Alfalfa and orchard grass hay are available along with rolled oats.  Owner provided supplements will be fed.  Blanketing is also included.

LESSONS
Price varies by instructor - Dressage and Jump lessons are offered.  Mike Osinski offers dressage lessons from Training Level through Grand Prix.  Shannon Morris offers dressage lessons from beginner through Third Level, and Eventing lessons through Training Level.

TRAINING/RIDING
Price varies by instructor - Training or exercising your horse is available. We are here to help, whether you are feeling stuck, or you are going on vacation.

HAUL-INS
$10 per horse per time for arena use.  $15 per horse per time for trail use - Haul-ins must have permission by owner and sign a release before riding.

TRAILER PARKING
$20 per month - There is plenty of easy trailer parking available.

EXTRA SERVICES 
$25 per hour - Extra services such as holding a horse for the vet or shoer can be accommodated for a fee.

Our Trainers

Mike Osinski is the head trainer at Forest Park.  He has been training here since 1999. Mike is a FEI level competitor, clinician and trainer. He is an USEF “S” judge and a FEI 3* judge as well.  Mike is the only FEI 3* judge in the Pacific Northwest, and is one of a select few in the country. More information can be found at mikeosinski.com.  He is a major asset to have at Forest Park and we are extremely fortunate to have him here.

Shannon Morris teaches lower level dressage and jumping.  She has been riding and competing for over thirty years. She got her H-A in Pony Club at the age of 18, and graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural and Managerial Economics in 1995. She competed on the Three Day Eventing Team at UC Davis and has ridden with many great instructors including Jean Moyer, Major Jeremy Beale, Holly Fox, Beth Perkins, Cindy Burge, and John Camlin. Shannon has won many equestrian competitions, including a number of state and national titles. She won the Chronicle of the Horse Adult Team Championships at the Training Level Division for the West Coast.  She won AHSA Horse of the Year Area Champion at Training Level, and has also  earned her USDF Silver Medal.
